Choosing Your Coffee and Preparing Your Coffee Grinds

First, which coffee beans will you use for making your iced coffee at home? You can use whole bean or ground coffee. And, you can choose your level of caffeine according to whether you need a jolt of energy, a relaxing drink to wind down, or something in between. Alex’s Acid Free Coffee comes in Whole Bean and Ground versions, with each available in Regular, Decaf, and Half Caff varieties.

If you choose whole bean coffee, you’ll need to grind the beans. As you do, enjoy the scent and immerse yourself in the experience. There is nothing better than the smell of freshly ground coffee beans. You need about 8 ounces of coffee grinds for this simple recipe.

Brewing Your Coffee

Place the grinds in your pitcher or mason jar. Add 8 cups of water, and swirl it around to mix it, making sure you get rid of any big clumps. Then, all you have to do is leave your coffee out for a day or two. Stir or swirl it every so often to let the flavor soak in. When you’re ready, strain it and you’re ready to use it!

Iced Coffee Recipe Ideas

Once you have your cold brew coffee ready, you’re ready to use it! You can drink it straight - and with Alex’s Acid Free Coffee, it definitely tastes good.
